  • Liquid Heavy Duty Lime Scale Rust Remover - Clear Blue, Lime Solve 15 Gallon Drum
  • Heavy Duty Lime / Scale / Rust Remover
  • Formulated to remove heavy deposits of lime, calcium, urinary salts, iron, concrete, rust, and other mineral deposits. Contains hydrochloric acid and a corrosion inhibitor.
  • Concentrated liquid formula for dissolving heavy deposits of lime, calcium, urinary salts, iron, concrete, cement dust, plaster, rust, and other mineral deposits. Contains hydrochloric acid and a corrosion inhibitor.
  • Advantages
  • Can be used on rubber, wood, neoprene, plastic, wool, glass, steel, iron, copper, brass, stainless steel, and other metals except aluminum, magnesium, or chromium.
  • High concentration of active ingredients causes a foaming action. When foaming action stops, all mineral deposits have been dissolved or the saturation point of the solution has been reached. This may happen where large deposits are present and where only a very small amount can be applied. In this case, remove old and pour in fresh amount. Repeat if necessary.
  • When used as a dip for cleaning rust and scale from valves, fittings, etc., care should be taken that fumes resulting from this chemical reaction are not allowed to contact highly finished metal parts or tools; these fumes are corrosive and will cause rusting.
  • Where oil or grease film is present on scale, the action is slower. However, solution will penetrate this film, float it to the top, and then dissolve the scale.
  • Directions
  • Concentrate will affect nylon, cotton, galvanized, nickel plate, chrome plate, tin. Do not use full strength to remove rust from enameled tubs, sink wash basins. A solution of 25 parts water to one concentrate can be used. Flush immediately with plenty of water.
  • Practical uses for industrial purposes dishwashing machine: Add 1 gallon to 20 gallons of water. Circulate this solution through the machine. Flush and rinse thoroughly. Rinse arms should be removed and soaked in concentrated solution.
  • Hot Water Coils: Fill coil with concentrate. Allow to stand until effervescence stops (indicates that all lime scale has been dissolved). Cleaning time for average coil is 15-30 minutes. Completely stopped up coil requires more time, 2-12 hours.
  • Hospital Sterilizers: Open type - cover heating coil with concentrate. Let stand for at least 20 minutes. Drain off. Wash out with clean water. Closed type - submerge coils in 50% solution 2-4 hours. Drain off solution. Wash with clean water.
  • Valves and Steam Equipment: Submerge part of equipment to be cleaned in concentrate and let stand 1-2 hours or circulate through equipment until all lime scale is removed.
  • Unit Heaters: Fill steam or water coils with straight solution or use pump for circulating through the units.
  • Engine Jackets: Fill with straight solution and allow to stand 15 minutes or longer depending upon thickness of lime scale.
  • Cement Trucks: Mix solution 1 to 1 with water. Apply to area covered by cement dust, dried concrete. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeated application may be necessary on heavy deposits. Frequent cleaning will enable one application to make your truck shine like new. Contains an inhibitor to retard corrosion. Does not remove paint.
